Elopement weddings and civil ceremonies on the rise in Argyll and Bute

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳’s registrars conducted nearly 500 marriages and more than 20 civil partnerships in 2023, and things are not showing any signs of slowing down soon, with 20 ceremonies already conducted so far this year and a further 314 in the diary.

Council discusses Argyll and Bute's circumstances with Deputy First Minister

The Deputy First Minister and the Leader and Deputy Leader of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏÂÛ̳ held positive discussions to discuss Argyll and Bute’s particular circumstances. This follows confirmation of £62.7 million that was previously contingent on the outcome of the Spring Budget. Discussions will continue with the focus on resolving any outstanding issues.
